AIFDR Community Grants Program

Communities are at the front line of both the immediate impact of a disaster and the initial emergency response.  They are the essential cornerstone in efforts to save lives and livelihoods.  AIFDR acknowledges the importance of community by supporting efforts to strengthen community resilience through the community grants scheme.

The grants aim to support good practices and innovative activities in disaster risk reduction and disseminate and replicate good disaster risk reduction practices across vulnerable communities in Indonesia and the region. The Community Grants Program intends to complement existing disaster risk reduction activities, trial and test new approaches or ideas, as well as generate additional practical knowledge in disaster risk reduction issues.

How to apply

The Community Grants Program is open to community-based and civil society organisations working in disaster risk reduction across in Indonesia. The guidelines can be downloaded here in English and Indonesian.

Application form is available here in English and Indonesian. Template grant agreement for successful applicants is available here.
