The British Council has signed an Agreement with DFID (Department for International Development), the UK government international development agency to manage a Grant for “Support to the Government of Indonesia for technical and procurement input for the implementation of climate change programming.”
One of the beneficiaries of the project is the National Council on Climate Change – Indonesia (NCCC) / Dewan Nasional Perubahan Iklim (DNPI). To assist DNPI and Government of Indonesia on their climate change programme, we would like to invite any individual / specialist to apply for the position of Expert/Consultant for the Content of Website Development and Maintenance for Indonesia Adapting to Climate Change (IACC) website.
Purpose of Engagement
The purposes of hiring consultant/expert to develop and maintenance the website content are:
• Disseminate information on the facts and figures related to climate change adaptation in Indonesia
• Disseminate information on completed, ongoing and future work on climate-change adaptation in Indonesia carried out by different stakeholders for domestic and international audiences
• Help the NCCC to write and grouping the material issues on adaptation in order this information can show on the website.
Scope of work
In developing and maintaining the IACC website content, the expert/consultant is expected to do the following activities:
Scoping and research the adaptation on climate change issues and present salient features and innovations in the Inception Report (to be submitted 10 working days after the beginning date of this project).
Join a consultation meeting to be attended by members of DNPI’s Working Groups, staff of DFID and other institution as required to gain information on adaptation issues.
Prepare a communication between DNPI, Vendor Website development (TRABAS) and alco BC to discuss the website content
Create a comprehensive bilingual (Indonesian and English) website info (grouping and writing the content of the website)
Update and maintain the website content for a period of 2 months (march and April 2010)
The expert/consultant will develop the website content in close collaboration and consultation with DNPI’s Adaptation Working Group and Communication, Information and Education Division.
The development and maintenance of IACC website content will be starting from early March 2010 until end of April 2010.
The website content is bilingual, English and Indonesian.
The Expert/Consultant for IACC website development and maintenance content must have previous experience in creating, developing and maintaining website, proven by portfolios of completed websites (at least three). Experience in developing websites of not-for-profit issues is preferable.
The expert/consultant of website development cannot alter, update or delete the website content without the prior permission from IACC partners (persons in charged are to be defined in the website communication protocol). The consultant shall also not use the domain for any advertisements and personal use without the prior permission of IACC partners.
Location of activities
The location of the review and consultation is in Jakarta, specifically in National Council on Climate Change – Indonesia / Dewan Nasional Perubahan Iklim (DNPI), located in Gedung BUMN, Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan No. 13, 18thFloor, Jakarta 10110.
Application submission deadline
The deadline for Application is set on Friday, 5 March 2010, 5pm Indonesian time.
Duration of Contract
The contract will be starting from early March 2010, with a completion on end of April 2010.
