The 10th South East Asian Survey

The 10th South East Asian Survey Congress (SEASC) will be held in Bali-Indonesia on the 4-7 August 2009. This event is hosted by the National Coordinating Agency for Surveys and Mapping (BAKOSURTANAL). The theme is “Integrating geo-information island”. It is not only a conference, but also there will be an exhibition, a Field Trip/Technical Tour around the beautiful Island of Bali, and other activities which are very attractive for the participants and their spouses.

More than 500 participants are expected to come, international (from ASEAN, Asia Pacific, Australia, Europe and America countries) and also local (from 500 districts and 34 provinces). There will be more than 50 exhibitors.

The program overview in the website will be updated regularly. It includes three plenary sessions themed “Bringing maps to our daily life”, “Current status of NSDI” and “Global Challenges for Surveyors” and some technical sessions with various themes.

Back to back with the conference, there will be ASEANFLAG Council Meeting, FIG Commission Meeting, and UNGEGN Symposium.
