2008 POGO-SCOR Visiting Fellowships for Oceanographic Observations

The Partnership for Observation of the Global Oceans (POGO) and its partner, the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research (SCOR) announce the Fellowship Program for 2008. This programme is designed to promote training and capacity building leading towards a global observation scheme for the oceans. The fellowship program is open to scientists, technicians, graduate students (PhD) and Post Doctoral Fellows involved in oceanographic work at centres in developing countries and countries with economies in transition. The fellowship provides airfare and a stipend for living expenses for up to three months. Deadline for application is 15 April 2008.

More information and the application form is available on the POGO website. Prospective host scientists are asked to contact POGO Secretariat (Liz Humphreys, pogo@mba.ac.uk) so that we can provide contact information for applicants.
